This converter uses your browser's image decoder and a shared canvas encoder. AVIF support depends on the browser; a current Chrome, Firefox, Edge, or Safari is recommended. Transparency becomes white in JPG output. Animated sources produce a single still image. PNG output is lossless after decoding, while JPG quality controls the compression tradeoff.

Why does my transparent image have a white background?
JPG does not support transparency. Choose PNG to retain the image's alpha channel.
Can I convert animated WebP?
The converter exports a still frame. It does not convert a complete animation.
